Give animals a Second Start

The abandoned, the neglected, and the homeless deserve a Second Start.

The Second Start Program is a lifesaver to the dogs and cats in municipal shelters whose time has sadly grown short. Bideawee is able to bring many of these innocent four-legged friends to one of our adoptions centers, thereby giving them a second start on life, another chance to find a new home. Over 1,900 animals have been saved since the program began in 1999.

The Second Start Program Starts with You.

It's you and generous people like you who make this life-saving program possible. To provide critical financial assistance to the Second Start Program you need do nothing more than support the program on a regular monthly basis.

With over five million pets still euthanized each year in the United States, Bideawee desperately needs your support to change the dangerous cycle of abuse and homelessness.

As a Second Start Sponsor, you will help rescue dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens each month and give them a second start at life.

You will receive monthly updates on the animals you have helped save.

For just $24 a month, you will see exactly how your generosity has saved a deserving dog, cat, puppy, or kitten and has given them a second start at life. For less than the cost of a cup of coffee each day, you can give the gift of life and become a Second Start Sponsor today!.

THE CAPITAN

This handsome boy was left behind in a Bronx apartment when the tenants moved out. He was eventually found and brought to the overcrowded municipal shelter. He was rescued by Bideawee last Thanksgiving and is now happily spoiled by a family who will always take him along!

BUSTER

Buster is a super-cute 4 month-old Hound mix. This guy has endured a lot so far in his short life. He was brought to Bideawee from a high-kill shelter in Tennessee that had treated him for canine parvovirus. He is a lucky guy that made it and is now completely healthy, and happy to boot.
