Autumn Leaves are Falling, but Our Most Important Season is Just Beginning…
As the crisp air sweeps in and the leaves start to turn vibrant shades of red, yellow, and orange, I get so excited about the joys of fall—pumpkin everything, apple picking, cozy sweaters, and warm evenings by the fire with my pups. At Bideawee, while the team also welcomes the beauty of the season, we’re super busy preparing for something even more significant: our most critical fundraising period of the year.
This holiday season, we’re reaching out to you with a sense of dire urgency.
Across the nation, and right here in New York, the animal welfare community is facing a growing crisis. Adoptions have slowed dramatically; people are struggling to afford care for their pets, and they are surrendering them to already over-crowded and stressed shelters.
Here at Bideawee, we too are feeling the crush of this crisis and now we are struggling to keep pace with the rising cost of housing, feeding, and caring for animals which has surged to twice what it was just four years ago. The incredible team here is working harder than ever to provide loving homes for cats and dogs who truly need them, but we desperately need your help to continue doing so.
At Bideawee, we don’t just rescue animals—we provide them with the medical care, nutrition, and love they need to thrive while they await their forever homes. This year, more than ever, these animals depend on your generosity. The reality is that every dollar you give will directly impact our ability to continue providing the best care to each and every cat and dog that comes through our doors. Without your help this season, we may have to do something we don’t even want to think about – reduce the number of animals we can save. I cannot comprehend that, and I know you can’t either.
We need to save even more! But we cannot do it alone.
